Summary: Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

Determines space requirements and lays out position of shipment.

Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.

Compiles records of unfilled orders.

Posts weight and shipping charges.

Prepares bills of lading.

Issues written and oral instructions.

Adjusts errors and complaints.

Reconcile packing lists to receiving documentation and complete location detail on receiving documentation.

Initiate damage claims process and forms completion.

Maintain the Returned Goods (RGA) process including enforcement of forms completion.

Labels orders with date received, customer name, purchase order and piece count when storing or racking product.

Initiate Hedberg load scan.

Education/Experience:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
