Education Specialist

Overview/Position Summary

We are seeking a confident and self-motivated candidate who is committed to spending the time & energy to leverage knowledge, active learning insights and applications to increase sales in the education market (K-12 & Higher Education) and bring the education value proposition to the market in the Color Art defined territory and plan. Reports to Executive VP of Sales.

Responsibilities

• Help develop Color Art Education Value Proposition and work collaboratively with dealership Account Managers, WST & Designers to help train and educate on industry trends/insights, resource utilization, product applications, sales presentations, pricing and proposals to help close business.
• Work closely with Color Art Account Managers to identify target opportunities, strategic plans and actions for each target and regularly meet with sales people to understand pipeline and provide updated forecast on all education opportunities. (This position is not responsible for Account Managers but is to work closely to bring the Color Art Education Value Proposition to market).
• Develop and establish business relationships with prospective and existing customers to generate new business through consultative selling efforts focused on helping education institutions make a meaningful shift to more active learning model.
• Develop strong relationships with Deans, CIO's, Provost, Librarians, Administrators, Professors and other school personnel that influence or make decisions.
• Work with leading A&D firms who have a primary focus on education.
• Maintain key vendor relationships and identify vendors as needed to meet product and application gaps.
• Responsible to manage showroom and demo program & products.
• Help manage and maintain the education sales process from sell through install.
• Engage in professional development of our education clients and A&D.
• Attend and participate in education conferences as budgeted for networking and learning.
• Achieve annual sales and gross profit goals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university. Two years of industry experience related to education market and education design experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and work closely with others to achieve goals.

• Ability to travel for client visits, conferences and industry related events.
