Commercial Flooring Sales

As a Commercial Flooring Sales Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining great relationships with our current and past customer base as well as securing new business through your prospecting efforts. A Commercial Flooring Sales Representative works to secure the business, presents solutions and pricing, provides estimates and project scope, and manages the project from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Creating new commercial business and building client relationships
• Provide the correct products to commercial clients per specifications provided by client or architect
• Enter quotes into the computer system
• Design and submit estimates per client specifications
• Perform project management to ensure installers are completing quality work per specs and timeline
• Prospect for new business by joining and networking within various organizations, communities and groups
• Enter and track customer interactions in software systems, recording all aspects of the sales process up to and including closing the sale.
• Follow up with quotes or prospects to close transactions
• Maintain a professional, ethical, and positive disposition as a primary representative of the company in the community

Requirements:

• 5+ years previous experience working in a sales role, preferably commercial and new construction sales
• College degree preferred
• Commercial flooring covering experience
• Experience with MeasureSquare and RFMS a plus, but not required
• Experience in estimating/take-offs of floor plans
• Basic computer skills, including internet knowledge and working proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and database applications
• Proven, successful sales track record
• Must be a self-starter and able to take initiative
• Ability to meet deadlines and understand priorities
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
• A high level of urgency, professionalism and integrity with a unique personality looking for a home
• Proven ability in creating new business and client relationships is a must
