Account Manager

OVERVIEW / POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a confident and self-motivated candidate who is committed to leveraging knowledge, research insights and applications in the corporate, healthcare and education markets to help develop and grow specific established accounts and support new business.

Reports to VP of Client Engagement + Workplace Solutions.

MINDSET

Head Listener:

  • Listen & document all critical details, milestones & deadlines both internally & externally.
  • In tune and have a pulse on both the internal team and the customer experience.

Quarterback:

  • 100% own all processes & meetings.
  • Client facing, can direct any meeting both internal & external.
  • Own and attend quote approval meeting with customer.
  • Own and attend all internal kick-off meetings including the following:
    • Project Intro
    • Intro to Design
    • Intro to PM / Install Team
  • Facilitate showroom tours for strategic clients.
  • Move project through to completion.

Relationship Owner:

  • Be a trusted and educated resource for the customer.
  • Respond to all communications (email, text or phone call) within 24 hours.
  • Be a resource for finding answers and solutions.

Critical Thinker:

  • Solution focused & strategic problem solver.
  • Sense of urgency for customer satisfaction.
  • Keep not only project focus, but always have larger, long-term focus in mind.

Knowledge Consultant:

  • Maintain an overall understanding of current market trends.
  • Maintain knowledge of our manufacturer partners capabilities & portfolios.

Process Orchestrator:

  • Define & implement the project process.
  • Identify next steps with the team; assign all tasks and deadlines.

Project Resource Allocator:

  • Properly use resources to move the project through to completion.
  • Prioritize workload based on timelines, urgency and strategic opportunities.

Timeline Creator:

  • Timeline creation and maintenance representing meetings, next steps, milestones and deadlines.
  • Manage both the internal and external team to the timeline.

Ownership of the Budget & Pricing:

  • High/low budget creation; maintain budget through to quote.
  • Finalize pricing quote in Hedberg, includes applying all fees and GP's intentionally.
  • Knowledge of contracts and strategically applying them.
  • Own accounting requirements; credit checks, deposits, credit card payments, etc.

Procuring Thought Starters:

  • Create generic thought starters from manufacturer images and photography.
  • Give direction for specific thought starters internally or with manufacturers.
  • Able to create or give direction for conceptual applications or layouts.

Forecasting:

  • Provide forecast and weekly updates on all projects over $10,000 sell.

RFP Owner:

  • Run the entire RFP process including but not limited to kickoff, delegation, pricing, oversight, compiling and on-time completion.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Design Degree from a four year college or university. Three - five years of industry experience.
  • Ability to travel for client visits, conferences and industry related events.
